About JeffreyHi, I’m Jeffrey—founder of EventWx Consulting, professional meteorologist, and lifelong musician.
I hold a B.S. in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma, where I spent several years researching severe weather using mobile radar trucks. That work meant forecasting dangerous storms in real time—not just for the sake of science, but to keep our team and expensive equipment safe. It sharpened my forecasting skills fast and taught me how high the stakes can be when weather goes wrong. At the same time, I was actively performing as a musician and DJ across Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas. Over the years, I saw countless events disrupted—or cancelled altogether—because organizers didn’t have accurate weather information. Sometimes they canceled when they didn’t need to. Other times, they put people and equipment at serious risk. I knew there had to be a better way. |
Why I Started EventWxI founded EventWx Consulting to bring expert-level, down-to-the-minute weather forecasting to the event world. Weather apps can’t give you the precision or reliability you need when you're organizing a high-stakes outdoor event. I can.
With EventWx, venues and festivals can save money, protect guests, and make better decisions—whether you're preparing for a pop-up thunderstorm or just need peace of mind under clear skies. I’ve already helped clients avoid unnecessary cancellations and navigate real severe weather. I’m now based in Austin, Texas, and I’m passionate about helping event planners, venues, and festivals across the United States make smarter, safer weather-related decisions. If you're hosting events regularly, I’d love to work with you. |
