Jeffrey was instrumental in keeping the audience and artists of our jazz festival safe. In 2023, while hosting an 8-time Grammy-winning headliner as well as dozens of other world-class musicians with thousands of audience members, there was a very real threat of severe weather hitting the festival. Putting our audience or artists at any kind of risk is not an option, and with the forecasting and expertise of Jeffrey, we were confident enough to continue the show all the way through the final act. Later that night, the storm did in fact hit and had it not been for Jeffrey's sound advice we would have likely cancelled the concert - wasting upwards of a hundred thousand dollars in artist fees, stage rental, and other overhead costs. The festival regularly accounts for over three million dollars in economic impact for the city of Norman each year over the course of three nights, and as this was our final and biggest night, Jeffrey's leadership and expertise certainly generated or saved an enormous amount of funds for the city. He is an invaluable resource that we would love to have at the festival for years to come.
